Fridays weekly market, swimming pool,library and playing fields all form part of this historic town. Home to USAF Mildenhall airbase.

Ely
Isle of Ely actually. The main attraction is the cathedral, which originally was a double monastery for men and women. In 1109 the abbey became a cathedral and boasts an octagonal tower which is unique. Also to be found in Ely is the house where Oliver Cromwell lived, leader of the roundheads during the English civil war. Other attractions include the large Waterside antiques centre and a lively and interesting shopping area.
The war memorial is 113 feet high with 148 steps and the most beautiful forest scenery surrounding. Home of Center Parks, an indoor tropical paradise.
An unspoilt conservation village with fine listed properties and a scheduled ancient monument. It has a long history with evidence of settlement from the Neolithic period.
Located on the river Lark with charming bridges on the Cavenham road. Cavenham nature reserve is reputed to be haunted by a headless horseman.

Abbey Gardens are a must see together with a Greene King brewery tour and a visit to Britain’s smallest pub --The Nutshell.
